Hello all! Hope everyone is having a nice spring season. Wanted to keep everyone up to date with some general announcements.
Firstly, please understand that up until recently, J!WHMCS Integrator has been a one-man operation with Steven at the helm trying to both improve the product and keep up on the numerous support tickets that are being submitted, many of which aren't support ticket issues time consuming none-the-less. Recently Steven brought me on to assist with responding to tickets and assisting the community in the forums. We're beginning to get caught up and we thank you for your patience and understanding as we progress and evolve the product and this website.
Changes Coming Soon!
Documentation - We realize this has been asked many times and we're working on getting documentation together that will better assist in the installation process. Up until this point, it's been enough just keeping up with the many support tickets that are not really support ticket issues. So, if you have a support question that doesn't contain sensitive data, please use the forums for general support of the J!WHMCS Integrator.
New Website and Forums - Currently, and as time provides, we're working on new forum software and additional forums to better support our members. We're going to be integrating vBulletin into our system which will allow for major improvements for managing posts and the ability to provide a more personal support experience with regards to the community forum. Our website is also being rebuilt and re-worked to provide more information, FAQs and of course, documentation.
Product Updates - This is also something we're working on. Our next release is being put together right now and should be available by the middle of next week. There are several bugs that are being fixed and we'll list those when we make the new announcement.
You may have noticed some new forums. What we're doing is proving you with more places to ask questions and get support on various issues in hopes that we can eliminate some of the tickets that are coming in with questions that can be asked in the forums. We promise to do our best to respond in these forums. These forums are also being organized for easier import into our new forums tables.
We're kindly asking that you use the forums for support issues. If it's an installation or your sharing sensitive data that you don't want displayed publicly, this is when a support ticket should be submitted. Submitting a Support Ticket - Login Credentials
In order to help us help you, we kindly ask that when you have an issue with that needs resolved and it's a support issue that cannot be resolved in the forum, you provide login credentials in your ticket. If you have questions, ask them in the forum. If you need us to go in and fix something or there's a special bug that needs swatted, then provide us the necessary information to do so. So here's what we need in your first support ticket:
URLs - We need both your Joomla and WHMCS root URLs
Joomla Super Administrator - Please create a temporary user and password that we can use to login to your Joomla Admin area.
WHMCS Administrator - Some settings may require us to login to your WHMCS Administration area. Create the same as above.
FTP Access - In case we need access to your server. (This must include access to all your directories where Joomla and WHMCS are).
This information should all be contained in one ticket. Here's a sample format:
FTP: 126.96.36.199 or [url:2w10r8nb]http://www.my*site.com[/url]
This will allow us to login quickly with all the information needed and resolve the support issue quickly and accurately. If you don't provide this information, we cannot help you. We also don't store this information so if it's a new ticket you are submitting, provide the information again.
If your site is live, don't worry, we're not going to take your site down to resolve the integrator support issues. Your hosting clients won't even know we're there and generally speaking, we can resolve most issues within minutes provided we have all the necessary information.
