TOPIC: WHMCS 6.1 OK?

WHMCS 6.1 OK? 1 year 4 months ago #7121

I have the following..

whmcs 5.3.14
Jwhmcs 2.5.13
Joomla 3.4.4
Php 5.4.43

Is it OK to upgrade to whmcs 6.1 and Jwhmcs 2.6.01?

If so, which do I upgrade first?

Anything special to watch out for?

I would recommend upgrading J!WHMCS Integrator first. The upgrade process should be fairly easy with version 2.5.13 already in place. You will need to perform the manual upgrade process at the bottom of the upgrade procedure list:
www.gohigheris.com/documentation/jwhmcs/...grade_guide/minor.md

but aside from that it should be straight forward. Once that's done, you want to upgrade WHMCS to version 6.1. Afterwards, check this documentation on fixing the files:
www.gohigheris.com/documentation/jwhmcs/...upgradesitebroken.md

Version 6 of WHMCS changes template names, so if you are using default, classic or portal, you will want to change that to either the templates named five or six. WHMCS didn't update the older templates, so if you use them with v6.1, some pages won't work (like domain checker).

Hi Steven,

Do you offer an upgrade service to do all of the above mentioned upgrades and fixes?

Or do you only offer Jwhmcs upgrades?

Sorry for the late reply - I do offer an upgrade service:
client.gohigheris.com/cart.php?a=add&pid=36

The service includes upgrading both WHMCS as well as J!WHMCS Integrator and ensuring the connectivity and integration is working properly.

I am at the moment out of town on a personal matter, but should be back in town this weekend and can assist or handle the upgrade directly Monday or Tuesday at the latest if you purchased this week.
