It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing that effective March 1, 2017, Go Higher Information Services will be closing. This decision has been one of the hardest I have ever had to make. For 8 years I have been programming and providing addon modules and extensions for the Joomla, WHMCS, Wordpress, Kayako and Blesta communities and I have taken the needs of those communities very seriously. As time has progressed however, I began working outside of Go Higher last year, initially for the superb WHMCS support team (what a blast), and then in mid-summer I went full time with a local company completely outside of programming and development. I had thought I could balance the demands of working full time with the needs of my customers but the past few months have shown that is not a possibility. I have always strived to provide the best customer service and support as possible because I know having someone who cares about your needs is half of the battle with support. Unfortunately I am no longer able to provide the quality level of support and timely updates that I desire and I believe my customers deserve better.
With that said, I know there are a lot of questions you may have, and I would like to address them here as much as possible.
But I just paid my Support and Update Pack!?!
I know, there were only a few of you, but those of you that did make payment in the last 30 days for the Support and Update pack, I have already refunded the payment AND applied the next point to your license.
Customers with a Purchased License and an Active Support and Update Pack
If you have a current, active support and update pack for an owned product, your Support and Update Pack has been extended indefinitely. This means when the next due date comes, you will not be invoiced and the product will continue to function as it does presently.
Customers with a Leased License
If you have a leased license and you have been current, your lease has been extended to January 1, 2018 by which point a decision will be made as to how best to provide the software (either open sourced or closed with disabled license key).
Customers with an Active PayPal Subscription
If you have an active PayPal subscription with Go Higher, it has been cancelled already. No additional payments will be collected.
Customers with Past Due Invoices
If you have past due invoices, they have been cancelled. No payments will be received against invoices.
Customers Needing Downloads
The extensions are still provided on our web site in the downloads area. I am in the process of porting the entire archive repository over to my git hub (https://github.com/gohrco), but until then, you can still log in and download the extensions here.
My support and update pack expired, can I get / use / apply the latest archive?
No, that wouldn't be fair to those customers that were current and maintained service with me. You may still only use the most recent archive as of the expiration date of your support and update pack. Leased license holders may not download and use the products for free.
I honestly have not determined the final end of the software. Much of my software has already been ported over to Github, so it is already open sourced except for Belong, J!WHMCS Integrator and Integrator 3. Those three products may be sold to another company, they may be maintained as is, or they may be open sourced.
